KTOWN and a collective haul

Bonjour! Comment ca va?

Hey, hey, hey! So I got around to modifying my layout and Gilgamesh-ifying it. I think the layout looks alright.

Okay, back on topic now. So today, I had a chance to go to Korean town a.k.a. KTOWN for short to save time. This KTOWN I believe is the smaller and newer one which is located in Toronto. KTOWN is above Finch station or Yonge and Finch. I went with two of my fantabulous friends and we went around exploring.

So this is a glimpse of the town and I do apologize for the bad photo quality. The photos were taken with my trusty iTouch.

My friends and I came empty stomach so we immediately went for lunch. We went to Nak Won and I have ate at Nak Won before but it was another location.

I ordered a beef bulgogi and it was gooood. The meal was quite cheep in total. For 3 people, $26 including tips.

After filling up our bellies, we went around to explore. The KTOWN was not that big and it is mostly filled with either restaurants, cafes, or hair salons.

During our exploration, a small cafe caught our attentions.

Called "MOST", it had wooden benches for dining and black boards that you are able to draw on.

The restaurant was literally empty except for the waitress and the chef/cook(you get what I mean). One of my friend ordered a cappuccino along with a "green tea gelato"(note the quotations)  and my other friend ordered a bubble tea along with a waffle. I ordered a small pastry which I recall is called Raspberry Blossom along with 2 macarons.

Cute way of using a jar! Bubble tea was okay. The tapioca were a bit stiff.
(I'm a horrible blogger ;A; I didn't take a picture of the waffle or the gelato. But as you can see on the right, it's the waffle!)

My order! Cake looks pretty.

I believe it is a raspberry mousse with a pistachio base in a white chocolate shell. It tasted actually quite nice! As for the macarons.... well. The macarons are your simple almond macarons. A lot harder than others I have tasted. The waffle was okay. It did not taste that great. It tasted weird, kind of stiff and there was just too much strawberry + chocolate sauce. The kiwis were raw too and they were really sour. As for my friend's "gelato", she said it doesn't taste like gelato and instead, icecream. I thought it looked exactly like Hime's green tea ice cream.
She thought it tasted exactly like it too.

Waffle:  6/10
Cake: 8.5/10
Macaron: 7/10
Overall:  7/10
In the end, it was an okay experience. The food wasn't what we had expected to be. Aesthetically appealing but taste wise was alright. But on the plus side, those black boards are quite fun!

My nyan cat I drew >w<!

After a bit of disappointment and our wallets almost depleted (that meal was quite expensive for us students ;A;), we decided to try out the first cafe we initially was going to try but didn't in the end.

Bienavenue au Cafe Princess! This cafe is located beside Nak Won.

Sadly, they didn't have cake at that time so we decided to settle down with a fondue.

After that, we decided to head home.

One of friends and I agreed to go to FabricLand to pick up some fabric for our Letter Bee cosplay we were planning to do(Sorry Ao no Exorcist!). Everything in the store was practically on sale so that was quite nice. This was my first time buying fabric so the trip was quite overwhelming ^^;;.

In the end, I brought a few items.

Embroidery floss which was on sale (5 for $1 :D).

White and lavender fabric.

Bias tape and red ribbon which were both half price.

Since this is a collective haul, the most expensive item I purchased (with my own money) and made me tear a bit....well my iPod made me tear more...

Urban Ears headphones! Initially, I wanted these Panasonic ones but I couldn't find it so I settled with these Urban Ears. I don't regret buying these and I'm quite happy with them too.!

Well that's all for now! I'll be posting more soon so be prepared! Bye!
